	Dive Lights, Primary Dive Light, Underwater Flashlights, Scuba Lights Dive Lights, Scuba Lights Dive Light Basics There are several ways to divide up the way we look at Dive Lights, and one of the most common is referring to them as backup dive lights, or Primary dive lights. If you are holding the light throughout the dive - that is a primary dive light. If the lights is in a pocket, or clipped on somewhere, we would probably call it a backup dive light. Now what is a backup dive light to one, might be a primary dive light to someone else. We normally think of Primary Dive Lights as something with 8 C cells, or 8 D-cell batteries and a handle. And the smaller dive lights, that use 4 cells, or less as backup lights that fit in a pocket. But then to some, a primary light is a large canister light, these types of dive ights would be found in our Tech Lighting area. Then what is a Dive Beacon or Marker Dive Light? Also, some people like to carry a marker light, like the Dive beacon, to wear on their tank valve, so our dive buddy can recognize you without shinning a dive light in your eyes.
