Joe and I are always happy to give you our personal scuba gear reviews. You just call us up and we'll tell you what scuba gear we'd recommend for this regulator, that wetsuit etc. But many people wonder if our scuba gear reviews are based on what scuba gear is the best for you - or if we're just trying to sell you something.
Well, I'll tell you that we base our company model on honesty, and if we give a favorable review on a piece of scuba gear, it's because we honestly like it. But anytime the salesman is giving you the review - there might be some doubt.

Well, you might have noticed we've remade our shopping cart
recently, and one of the reasons was so that we could offer
customer reviews on the products. On each detail page for a
product, just look for the Read the Scuba Gear Reviews, or Write
a Scuba Gear Review links. If that product has already been reviewed,
you can see what actual users of the product thought of it,
what they liked - what they didn't. And you can write a review
yourself.
In Fact We Want You To Write Scuba Gear Reviews!
Please write objective reviews about any gear you are familiar with, and we will probably accept it!
What does it take to be accepted?
We are not going to reject or accept reviews based on your score... but it is possible to have a review rejected. Make sure when you write the gear review, you only write about products you are familiar with, and talk about the product - not the concept of it.
What?!?
For example, let's suppose you think spear fishing is wrong...
you should not give all the spear guns a rating of 1 because
you don't think people should spear fish. Or for example, we
had someone rate an underwater noise maker very low as they
don't think people should make noise under water... This is
not an appropriate review. It is probably a great topic for
a thread on our Scuba Forum,
but it does not reflect the merits of the product. So don't
slam drysuits just because you hate cold water diving... only
comment on the aspects of the product itself that you are experienced
with - for example: "I've had one of these drysuits for 2 years,
and the zipper broke 2 months after I got it, but the company
did replace it rapidly... so I rate it a 4 - would have been
a 3 for the quality of the zipper, but the quick customer service
from the manufacturer makes it rank a 4... and the new zipper
they put in seems to hold up great."
