NAUI Dive Master Class

NAUI Dive Master Class Overview:

If you are ready to take the step to becoming a professional, NAUI Dive Master Class is your course.

The NAUI Dive Master Program will give you an instructor level of knowledge as well as practical experience working with divers and students in a supervisory position.

During the course your swimming, snorkeling, towing, rescue, and diving skills will also be evaluated and improved upon. At the completion of a NAUI Dive Master Class course, you will be able to carry Professional Liability Insurance and independently supervise divers.

NAUI Dive Master Class Classroom Portion:

The classroom portion of the Dive Master class will definitely challenge you. You will have to master such topics as:
  • Diving Physics
  • Diving Physiology
  • Equipment
  • The Diving Environment
  • Dive Tables
  • .. and more.

But additionally to assist our Dive Master Candidates, we meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month for Dive Master workshops.

NAUI Dive Master Class Pool Session:

In the pool, you will learn important concepts concerning control of students and positioning of Instructors and Dive Masters. Throughout the DM course you will work with one or more of our instructors with their open water students and experience first hand how to assist divers and instructors.

Because good Dive Masters are the backbone of any Instructional team, we will work hard with you, and for you to make sure you learn as much as you can. In fact to complete your NAUI Dive Master Class, you will be giving class and pool lectures to new students under the supervision of your instructor. When we turn out a Dive Master - they deserve what the title implies. We make Dive Masters - not Tank-Toters. Hopefully when finished, you will want to assist us in a Dive Master capacity.

The Open Water aspects of NAUI Dive Master Class are 3 fold. We will review your rescue skills, monitor your control of students, and have practical skill application exercises. (UW Mapping, search and recovery drills, etc.)

Prices:

A Dive Master course is $550.00 plus materials.

NAUI Dive Master Class Schedules:

While we do meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, the NAUI Dive Master Class is custom built to your schedule and normally takes candidates 2 months or more to complete. You can start when you want, and go at your pace. You will be required to have a minimum of 2 Open Water Weekends along with your pool and class time. Accelerated courses are available for those who already have experience and knowledge relating to the course.

Since this is a custom built schedule, you can choose how quickly you progress.
